'Elizabeth' Cotton Christening Gown

A traditional gown incorporating a variety of delicate heirloom techniques. 'Elizabeth' is suitable for ages 3 months to 1 year old. This elegant gown is made from 100% cotton, great for summer comfort.

The full skirt gathers onto a piped mid-yoke. The skirt features a wide band at the hem of cotton French lace, beading insertions and rows of fine pin tucks. A wide delicate French lace edging hems the gown. Hand embroidered daisies and shadow work adorn the front yoke. The pretty short puffed sleeves are trimmed with French lace edging and are drawn in by thin satin ribbon bows, laced through French cotton beading. The gown is fully lined in cotton eliminating the need for a separate petticoat. The center back is open to the hem allowing a safe firm hold on baby on their special day. The bodice has a button closure in the back neck.

This style is currently available in size 0 but can be ordered in sizes 000 to 0. The Skirt lining can be hand embroidered with your child's initials to record the gown's history. When accessorised with a matching lace bonnet (or stretch lace headband as pictured), booties and bib your child will look adorable.
